Julia has studied and practiced Ayurveda for over 15 years, and is honored to have received education in the Vedanta sciences from Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. David Frawley, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Swami Swaroopananda, and Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati. She graduated in early 2003 from the California College of Ayurveda and as a Yoga Siromani (Yoga teacher) from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. For the last 7 years, she has provided treatments at the Ayurvedic Healing/Kerala Ayurveda Center and has also been providing ayurveda consultations and treatments in the Carmel and Santa Cruz areas. The three years prior, she was teaching and providing consultations and treatments at the Sivananda Yoga Ashrams in NY and the Bahamas.
Teaching about Ayurveda and Massage is one of Julia’s delights and passions. From 1994 to present, she has taught at massage schools, spas (nationally and internationally), yoga centers, Sivananda ashrams and last year helped teach a class in Pancha Karma at the Kerala Ayurveda Academy at Foster City. She is natioinally certified through NCBTMB as an instructor.
She has been providing holistic bodywork and energetic healing for over two decades. Besides Ayruveda, Julia has been trained in Swedish/Eselan, Deep Tissue, Cranio-Sacral, Lymphatic, Reflexology, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Pre-Natal Massage, Healing Touch, Energy Balancing and Healing, Emotional Release work.
